Witness Statements

Accurate and objective witness evidence is vital in personal injury litigation.

We interview witnesses and prepare comprehensive liability and/or quantum witness statements. We also prepare statements for independent witnesses; carers; police officers; employers; or any other party potentially involved in the litigation process.

We operate strict service levels to ensure that signed witness statements are delivered as quickly as possible and in the case of tight deadlines, such as those imposed by court orders, we can respond quickly to deliver signed statements.

Our employees and field representatives will visit witnesses either at home or at their place of work, and will undertake interviews by telephone if necessary. All of our employees engaged in field visits possess practical experience of handling personal injury claims, gained over many years within a legal/insurance environment, and their considerable knowledge enables them to procure evidence which is meaningful and addresses the issues; so you do not pay for witness statements which are irrelevant or fall short of your requirements.

All of our witness statements are formatted to suit the needs of the individual case and are CPR compliant.

Our office staff proof-read and check all statements and reports, to ensure the highest standards – both in terms of technical content and presentation.

Copy witness statements are then sent electronically to our instructing solicitor without delay, together with a covering report.

Locus Reports

In road traffic accident cases we can attend at the locus en quo and thereafter produce a sketch plan; photographic evidence; and a detailed accident scene report, suitable for disclosure and use at trial.

Liability Reporting

In all cases we provide a report covering the credibility/reliability of any witness; consider any relevant case law; and provide conclusions and recommendations, if required.

Witness Statements

As in the case of Road Traffic Collision cases, we procure and prepare comprehensive liability and quantum witness statements of evidence which are CPR compliant. We also prepare statements for independent witnesses; carers; or any other party involved in the litigation process.

Site Inspections

For employers and public liability cases we can attend at the workplace or scene of the accident and prepare sketch plans and obtain photographic evidence suitable for disclosure or use at trial.

Searching & Tracing

We subscribe to various databases/registers and offer a nationwide tracing service and if instructed to do so, will arrange speculative or “cold” calls on Claimants or any other prospective witness.
